Developed alongside the Minotaur, the Ark Royal class carrier. Designated as the Yorktown Project in 2156 the name changed to Ark Royal by 2157 when it was reveiled that UESPA was working on a warp 6 program since 2150 dubbed 'Yorktown Program' The Ark Royal carried two heavy fighters, and often flown in fleets of three with several Powhattan escorts. The Carriers and fighter ended service when the federation was founded after other federation races provided better fighters than earth, dispite that humans still made the largest contribution to the federation.
