Set in an alternate reality of the year 2020, two thirty year old deadbeats residing in Lynnwood, WA find themselves at their breaking point when gang violence hits an all time high. As anarchy begins to take hold, they turn to adrenaline fueled desperate measures to survive.

Natepocalypse is my first stab at the HLM2 editor. I started making it back in April this year when COVID-19 left me without work for a month. It was originally intended to only be played by friends, but I decided to make it public anyway. The main characters (Hammer & Biker) are based on real people from ten years ago, in a pseudo alternate reality taking place in the present. I'm aware that real life inspired characters are widely considered cringey, so consider this a warning. My ultimate goal was to learn how to use the editor so that I could make better content in the future.

I wanted to start making stuff like this back in 2015, but never got around to it then. It only took a global pandemic and a state-wide lockdown half a decade later to finally motivate me. While I wouldn't call myself an expert or a pro by any definition, Hotline Miami 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. Natepocalypse was a serious effort and a labor of love.
