WILLAMETTE - PORTLAND

Update Aug 2021 - Network Ext 2 removed/ Mass transit DLC added

Description
I have tried to keep this map as true to Portland as possible, with only a couple of Highways added to make it more playable. Sand has been used as stones for more realistic river edges. Image Overlay supplied in photos

@Alleykat Use Network Anarchy instead of Network Tiling and Tree Control instead of Unlimited Trees. The map theme is not a requirement for the map to load, however.

What drworm73 said - you need the depreciated "No Catenary Train Tracks (Pack)" for this to even load. It does work without the "Network Tiling" and "Unlimited Trees: Revisited" mods as well as without the recommended "Generic Temperate 4k" theme. Lovely map. I don't have the worst computer nor the best one either, but I think all the trees will make it difficult for me to play. I do like the map though!

I had another post about a problem I was having, but figured it out, and thought I'd add this for others in the future. Despite the rail network assets being depreciated you absolutely need to subscribe to them for the map to load. I thought I'd loaded other maps in the past without old networks, but I am almost surely misremembering. After you load in you can use RON to replace the networks with more current assets.

I have 16 GBs RAM, Intel 5-10th generation and 1650ti, would this map tax my machine?

@thebigdog360 I'm having the same problem... but it's with all steam maps now. I've tried every recommendation and I can't figure it out.

Any ideas community?

Wow, I can see my house from here, and the place I work, and is that omsi? Wow this is literally where I live. I can I think its interesting that you used most of the Milwaukie, Oregon City area of portland instead of hyper focusing on the cascade/NE area of portland. I personally tried to make my own awhile ago since this is my home town so thanks!

Sweet looking map, I toyed with making a Portland map (live about 55 miles away) but well, I suck at it lol. First order of business is to make a "mostly peaceful protester" containment zone.:steamthumbsup:

@blackj you need to down load the collection above that contains the trees. Also make sure the unlimited tree mod is enabled in the content manager
