Bodybulder Christi Wolf debuted in WCW as Ric Flair's nurse, Double D, in 1999. Her name was changed to Asya, a reference to her being larger than the WWF's Chyna, later that year.

Asya joined The Revolution in fall 1999 during the stable's feud with The Filthy Animals. She turned face in December to feud with Madusa, and later became the manager for her future husband The Demon (Dale Torborg).
