I felt that Hungary wasn't portraid properly in the "Death or Dishonour" DLC so I started my first Mod Project a long time ago. ("Little Hungary") This is the newer Version of that mod. The entire Focus Tree is completely reworked. For that I losely oriented myself on the vanilla Focus tree, basically making it bigger. The mod includes the historical path and various different paths that all are very different. Various events and decisions have been added to give the player the feeling of the pressure that was put on Hungary during that time period. Paradox unfortunately failed to cover alot of interesting aspects of the country, which are present in this mod. With around 800 focuses for Hungary, this mod explores multiple "What if" scenarios for Hungary.


Fascist path:
Will you recall the Members of the famous "Rongyos Gárda" and seek cooperation with Italy and Austria through the Rome protocols? To expand the rome protocols could lead to a faction with which you can easily achieve your goals of conquest by pushing the country's claims! Or will you allow Ferenc Szálasi to become the leader of the nation and steer Hungary right into Germany's arms while regaining the lost territories from the Great War? Or maybe non of these options are for you and you would like to give Béla Imrédy, the leader of the Hungarian renewal party a chance of proving to the world that he is the one to bring Hungary glory.

Monarchist path:
Which Habsburg will you invite to take the Hungarian throne? After reuniting the Kingdoms it is up to you to sort out the multinational problem that the former Austro-Hungarian Empire had. Returning to the Austrian Empire is one way of solving the issue. Or you can embrace Trialism or Dualism. The latter will require you choosing between a decentralised Empire with multiple puppet states (which can later be peacefully integrated) and a hard centralisation, which could lead to riots... Or is it your will to achieve what late Emperor Karl dreamed of: The Danubian Confederation, where all the nations within the Empire are seen as equals. Or maybe, the future of the empire is aligning to britain as a constitutional, democratic monarchy?
If non of these are your goal, perhaps you would like to fulfill the dream of a unite Paneuropa, with a Habsburg as it's head?

If the Habsburgs are not of your liking, then why not try forming Greater Hungary by inviting one of the Horthys or keeping the Regency, which could upset the nation but allows for flexible changes in the political landscape...

Democratic path:
In March 1937 a group of journalists proclaimed their vision of a democratic liberal Hungary. Will the Movement be a success and turn Hungary into a social democratic country? Or will you choose the middle way with the conservative and flexible dragon movement? Forge a new Balkan Pact with your neighbours and unite them under one country, negotiate what should happen with transylvanian territories. Or join the allies and benefit from their power through equipment shipments and knowledge transfer. Can you survive as a democratic Hungary, surrounded by natural enemies?

Communist path:
The Communist party, being supressed for the past decade has had enough of the monarchical and fascist government. Key leaders of the previous revolution have assassinated Miklós Horthy (or not?) and a civil war has followed. It is your decision which path to take. Will you restore the Revolution of 1919 with a Leninist government, or will you allow Rákosi to install his regime and rule with an iron fist over the nation? Or will you dedicate your time to a more moderate form of communism with Kádár or even Imre Nagy? After consolidating your power, you will have to choose to either join the comintern (or the allies) or form your own Balkan Socialist faction. The choice is yours and you have the proletariat of Hungary at your disposal.


Various generals and politicians have received their own custom made portraits. Some of the national ideas and national focus icons have also been reworked. Decision and event pictures have been added too. The map has been redrawn so that more historically accurate states were possible.
At this point, more than 100 custom events have been added, giving the paths their unique flavors.
A ton of new decisions have been added to allow the player a very flexible playstyle, so that every game is a bit different. Custom game mechanics (in form of decisions) for all political directions.
