Habib Rizieq is the leader of a vigilante group in Indonesia, Front Pembela Islam (FPI, literally translates as Islam Defender Front). He is mostly known as a loud orator who defames his opponents with violent and racist remarks.

However he has an enduring popularity due to his claim of descent and his social welfare support program in poor neighborhood where the government does not care to reach them.
