The scenario starts at March 1848 and ends at September 1870.

Your goal is to unify Italy under one rule before the game ends. You need the lands of Sardinia Piedmont, The Papal States, The Two Sicilies, The duchy of Parma, The duchy of Modena, Duchy of Lucca, Tuscany, Sicily, San Marco, Lombardy, and Venetia.

There aren't any plans for additional updates. I am planning on making a new modded scenario of the Napoleonic Era

Open the mod file in \My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\Italian Wars of Independence, copy the map file and place it in \My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\Maps. Remember to subscribe to the required mods listed to the right. You may want to play without Italian Wonders Pack, as while it helps The Papal States and gives benefits to CS, it results in the city graphics of Rome and Massa to disappear.

If you encounter bugs or problems, always try to delete the game’s cache, it has fixed most bugs I’ve had. If it doesn’t help, report the bug in the Bug Reports discussion. A common bug is getting extremely high science yields from caravans and cargo ships, which can be solved either by deleting cache before starting, or skipping with your caravans/cargo ships in the first turn.

This mod uses lungora's Italy map, JFD’s Two Sicilies, Grant’s Defense Expanded, Diplo Marriage, Disable Wonders, and Sman’s World at War - End in La Belle Epoque Era. A full list of parts of mods, as well as users who helped me making the scenario, can be found in the credits.txt file.
