"Based on a discarded layout from the planning of Zephyr Ridge, this newcomer takes the AGL to the picturesque coastline of Papua New Guinea. Climb into the island’s lush rainforest and blast back down to the cliffs that line the shore."

Development:
Developed over the fall of 2020, Cascade began as an idea to take an unused old layout for Zephyr Ridge I liked and repurpose it for a tropical environment. I mirrored and smoothed out the old layout to make it into an easy track, and placed it on the coast of Papua New Guinea. The name Cascade was suggested by community member Kabelsalat, and comes from the song Cascade by The Future Sound of London, who also (very famously) made a song called Papua New Guinea. Early on in development of Cascade, I intended for it to have a number of waterfalls and be called Keweni Falls, a name lifted directly from MX vs ATV: Unleashed. However, as I created the scenery, I realized that the layout didn't suit that idea very well, so I went without waterfalls. The original version of Cascade was the first track I published where community members told me that it looked like an official track, meaning I had accomplished what I had originally set out to do with my tracks. In the spring of 2021, I decided that I could improve on the scenery a lot, so I updated the track with new terrain, textures, and vegetation, alongside a major update for Yulara Springs.
