A powerful ship composing both tried but true 203mm guns as well as state of the art missile and air defence systems, the Defender is a true powerhouse in all aspects. Her large size allows for heavy armour, large missile batteries and lots of internal volume to allow her to carry out her mission.

I mean, it uses guns that have worked well on an earlier cruiser, has decent armour and lots of missiles, though has several flaws such as high cost. So if cost isn't an issue, then its probably well designed, though for its price there are far better alternatives that can do the same job to roughly the same level
