Bloodier Melee Weapons (and Hunters)

I've been holding on to this mod for years and finally got around to uploading it here. This one's pretty simple, it replaces the hunter's blood overlay (also shared by melee weapons) with a red version of the boomer bile overlay, making melee weapons and hunters appear much bloodier. Given how much gorier this game is than Left 4 Dead 1, I'm surprised they didn't up the ante on this one in Left 4 Dead 2.


Q: Does this work with custom textures and/or custom models?
A: Yes, actually. So long as it doesn't replace the hunter_01_detail.vtf file, it should work with even model replacements of melee weapons and hunters (if they keep the blood overlay effect).

Q: Why is the texture tiling so poorly in the screenshots?
A: That's just because of the frying pan. The visible line down the middle is where the model is mirrored on itself, I guess so it was easy to make in development. The actual texture tiles perfectly, though, since it's the same texture applied to survivors struck by boomer bile.
