I like this. Looks nicer, and matches IRL military hardware. I believe they use green laser sights more commonly. Could be wrong there.

not sure if this is because of a mod conflict or what, but this also seems to affect the smoke that comes from weapons and turns it a blue-ish green

Even if you subscribe, the laser is unresponsive. Are there any mods affected?

go to addons in the L4D2 main menu and put a tick in the box next to it.
If it is marked in red you have another addon conflicting with it disable the the conflicting addon and it will work
