In real life ducks will eat just about anything, while usually fed a vegetarian diet, in the wild they eat fish, crustaceans, aquatic insects and amphibians.
This simple patch makes them like that in rimworld.

@Luigipunch I can make a mod that would give them the same ability to find fish as penguins using VAE - Ice Sheet as a dependency. Would that be acceptable?

Would it be possible to make a mod /add to this that ducks can go fishing for small amounts of fish? It would be about as balanced as eating grass but could give ducks a little neat feature to set them apart from chickens more.
