Darren Young (NXT/Nexus)

NXT debuted in early 2010 as a cross between a wrestling show and a reality competition. Rookies from FCW were paired up with pros from the WWE roster. The winner of the competition was to receive a title shot in the WWE.

Darren Young, an explosive star with an impressive physique, finished in the final five competitors. Right after the season ended, Young joined the rest of the NXT roster in an invasion of Monday Night Raw, attacking John Cena and establishing The Nexus as a dominant stable.

After losing a match to John Cena on Raw in August 2010, Young was attacked by his fellow stablemates and kicked out of the group.
