Charlotte

Charlotte is a layed-back steam engine from New Zealand. Even though she prefers an easy lifestyle, she doesn't mind doing more demanding jobs every now and then. Her favourite thing to do is run up and down the coast line from Tauranga to Kawerau. She also enjoys running excursion trains with her sister, Katalla.

Although she's now in a black livery, she has carried two different liveries in the past. Charlotte was repainted pink for a few weeks in October 2019. This was in recognition of the many cherry blossom trees in New Zealand and Japan, which tend to flower around this time of year. Before her pink re-paint, she was done up in a dark-blue livery.

Charlotte is now painted matte black, and has the New Zealand flag on her steam dome. Her basis is the New Zealand Railways AB class, specifically AB 786.

The two engines were sold to Urban Dance in early 2020, and now sit on permanent display at Dalton; the headquarters of the Dance Hall Days line.
