The turrets are also not supposed to protrude as much as they do, but the ship is not to scale to begin with. Needless to say, but I've taken some artistic liberties with it.

@The Turkey Sandvich Well yes, though just calling it that is boring, hence the new name. Also worthy of note is that this one is thicker than the original and that the original doesn't really have any actual physical ribs (it's just paint).
