Given how bad the AI is, if we could control ally armies there would be more "WAH GAME TOO EZ" posts. Pick the cry you wish to hear more of, I guess.

god the fucking AI is so bad in this game its making me want to stop playing. they would resolve so many issues if they just let us control ally armies.

Really all this does (when I looked at the code) is intercept your ally joining the war, blocking their army creation and spawning an army of equal number under your ownership. So it's pretty simple. It however does not seem to be working. I'm sure it would be an easy fix for someone to do though.
