ACN-5B Archon [MOD]

The ACN-5B Archon is a major weapon overhaul of the original ACN-5T model. The development of the 5B stemmed from multiple factors surrounding the discontinuation of the 5T including disappointing sales numbers, underwhelming battlefield performance, and a system-wide initiative in weapon modernization. While it retains the mobility limitations of the 5T, the ACN-5B mounts considerable ballistic- and energy-based firepower and boasts increased versatility owing to its hardpoint variety and improved effectiveness at multiple combat ranges. Perhaps its greatest feature is its fearsome dual LRM-20 suites for long-range combat, helping to offset the high combat profile of the ACN model line.
