Frankie's Nuke Enhancement 1.0

描述
Intro

Hello comrades, I come to you with a new mod that aims to make nuclear arms much more destructive.
Basically, nuclear missiles will devastate cities and render them completely useless for a duration of time (default 3 minutes).
All units and buildings that enter the city radius during this time will suffer massive attrition damage.
This sort-of simulates nuclear fallout, if that's the right term.


Use/installation
Ensure that "Frankie's Nuke Enhancement 1.0" is selected in the mod drop-down menu, and nuke_enhancer.bhs is selected as the script. The script will activate and start watching for nukes when a nation has reached the Modern Age.



Things that may break this script (currently)

Because the RoN scripting API does not provide information about nuclear attacks, this script uses a probability system based on several factors to determine the likelihood that a city was nuked. As a result, the script is not perfect and may not function as expected 100% of the time. Some situations that may break the script:
  • A LARGE number of hostile units near the attacked city when it is hit by a nuke may fail to trigger the script. The city will still sustain the damage of a nuke, but will not experience the fallout effects. This is fairly unlikely to happen.
  • A city that is nuked while already badly damaged (<31% HP) WILL fail to trigger the script 100% of the time.
  • There are a rare set of circumstances that may trigger the script on a city that wasn't actually nuked. I've tried my best to eliminate this possibility but it CAN happen.


Precautions
  • I have a feeling that renaming cities might cause something to break, so I would avoid doing that until I actually test it.


Extra notes

  • Nuclear ICBMs, V2 Rockets, and Cruise Missiles have been disabled. Nuclear Missiles have been made significantly more expensive. Both conventional missiles are currently incompatible with the script and may errantly trigger the nuclear fallout effects when used, so they are disabled.
  • There are a bunch of config options available in nuke_enhancer.bhs that you may be interested in tweaking. You can use the data/unitrules.xml file to adjust the cost of nuclear missiles.

I was curious about this so took a look through. A small note: your base copy of unitrules.xml is out of date, and doesn't include changes from Patch 2 from T&P [riseofnations.fandom.com] (the so called "0800" patch).
