[EA25] Horizon 2.0 - HDF Strike Impaler

The latest upgrade to the venerable F-700 airframe, the strikeship iteration raises the HWT Impaler to the standards of the Advanced Fighter Program, including redesigned control surfaces, thruster ports, over-under intakes, and more. Chief among the upgrades, however, is the standardized cockpit module, and the new payload bay, expanding the Impaler's reach to practically any strike mission.

Even engagements against Capital Ships have opened up with the new Magnetic Acceleration Device, or MAD, and coupled with multi-purpose short range missiles, the Impaler is capable of engaging in air to air as well as air to ground. With MicroMissile pods, it can even engage in any direction, so long as the pilot can get a lock.


- The plane itself,
- A 20mm MG,
- Ten Short-Range-Missiles,
- The MAD, a burst-firing railgun with guidance,
- MicroMissiles that follow your FP camera,
- A repair tool,
- An AC3-style third person hud with weapon icons and lock-on you can switch on like a sightmode,
- The option to turn lock on and off for the MG, SRMs, and MAD, also through sightmodes
- Ammo States for the SRMs - the more you shoot, the less are on the racks
- And full destructibility - rip the wings off, blow the canopy off, break it in half!


This has been done for a while, but I'd wanted to drop it with the full HDF redux thing I've been doing - but I suppose until Steel decides to overhaul how vehicle mods work, there's no point in holding it back any longer.
