Barad Dur

Barad-dûr, also known as the Dark Tower, was the Dark Lord Sauron's sanctuary fortress in Mordor, serving as his base of operations. Over 1400 meters high, and held together by dark magic, it was the largest fortress in Middle-earth. It was originally built in the Second Age and razed after Sauron's defeat in the War of the Last Alliance. Sauron rebuilt Barad-dûr in the Third Age. The tower was forever destroyed immediately after the destruction of the One Ring. Ingame, it gives free castle and reduces the cost of building units by 20%.
