RE2 Remake H&K VP70 (9mm Pistols)

Rookie Raccoon City police officer Leon Kennedy's personal conceal carry sidearm in Resident Evil 2 (RE2)/Biohazard 2 Remake is the H&K VP70 fitted with aftermarket custom sights (known as the "Matilda" in-game). Despite the R.P.D's standard issue sidearm is the Browning Hi-Power, Leon carried his VP70 throughout the entire game due to the police station being overran by infecteds. Also for some reason, the handgun in-game is underloaded to 12 rounds in the magazine, despite an IRL VP70 can hold up to 18 rounds plus 1 in the chamber.

A distinctive German made handgun, the VP70 by Heckler & Koch is renown to be the world's first polymer frame handgun, as well as having a horrendous double-action only trigger similar to a stapler gun. Military variants of the VP70 has the capability to attach a stock with a firing selector, thereby turning it into a 3 round burst machine pistol.

On 23rd April 2023, a chap that went by the online name "empty" passed away. He was only 20 years old, and had suffered mentally due to stress from IRL issues.
This addon was the first project empty has offered to collab with me to complete my RE2 Remake weapon collection, since at the time I couldn't find an animation set suitable for the VP70, and neither do I have the knowledge to edit existing animations. He offered to create the animations for free and taught me a few things in regards to 3D animations, the dope sheet in blender and keyframe editing. It was clear to me when we chatted, he was very passionate about 3D stuff and modding, and kind enough to offer his own time to help a complete stranger on the Internet. He was a friend, a modder, an animator, and a talented 3D artist. He'll be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
