描述
-= NEW DAMAGE =-

All DOTs do 1-3 points of damage and ignores Armor and Shields (Poison, Fire, Acid).

The damage is increased if the target is Ruptured.

Subscribe and enjoy, you do not have to read the rest unless you enjoy technicals and philosophy.

-= ACT BONUSES =-
All DOTs now do bonus damage in function of what Act you are in. 1 bonus damage per Act (Act 2 +2, so 3-5, 4-6 with Rupture).

-= DOT TYPE =-

It doesn't matter if the poison is from a gas canister or a poison spit, the over time damage will always be the same if the effect is the same (Poison, Fire, Acid) by design. No poison in game is inherently more toxic than others anymore arbitrarily.

The game no longer discriminates between Chryssalid and regular poison damage, it's all poison but the Chryssalid one will generate a Cocoon on death as usual.

Being on fire because you stepped in a fire tile or because you got flamethrowered will trigger the same Burning damage over time.

-= LIMITATIONS =-
The chance to poison and the duration is NOT changed in this mod, by design. If you feel 1-3 dmg is too low you can increase the duration yourselves with modding (its a simple INI file setting already in game).

This mod will NOT modify the damage from the direct attack causing the Damage Over Time effect (Poison Spit damage is not affected nor is the Acid Grenade detonation, only the turn by turn part).

I tried making the damage increase by Acts (each investigation), but the variable is ignored by the game. Sad.

I also tried giving more range to the damage (1-4) but this is also ignored by the game.

DOT damage still cannot Crit, as per usual. No change.

-= "BUG" FIXES =-
Acid no longer Ruptures for no reason on DOT damage for 1. This should be handled by the weapon itself, NOT by the DOT. The Andromedon Blob does not Rupture on impact.

Offending code lines in X2Effect_Burning cancelled by this mod:

Oh. The only adversary that uses acid weaponry is Andromadons.
