[LFS] Colonial Raptor

The Raptor was a multipurpose spacecraft used by the Colonial Fleet. In service as early as the First Cylon War, the Raptor was heavily used by the Colonial Fleet, capable of performing a variety of actions. Raptors in the First Cylon War were restricted to sublight speeds, though miniaturized drives were present in all next generation models by the Fall of the Twelve Colonies. The FTL drive replaced the rear-gunner position and bunks on the original Raptor design, with the later variant being more geared for increased range rather than self-defense. The standard crew size for a Raptor is two, with a Pilot and Electronic Countermeasure Officer, though space allows for dedicated co-pilot, high ranking officer, or marine boarding party.

During combat, Raptors typically accompany a Viper squadron to provide targeting information and electronic countermeasures such as interfering with the guidance systems of enemy missiles. Munitions pods can also be attached to the body, allowing it to fire missiles during operations. Another dedicated assault variant of the Raptor was produced and designated as the Assault Raptor. The Assault Raptor was identical to the Raptor, but two munitions pods and two extra rapid-fire gatling guns were mounted under the wings and above the fuselage. Each munition pod was capable of launching 12 missiles that can lock onto enemy targets, or dumbfire to hit a stationary target such as a base or ground force.

This vehicle is designed for the LFS base, so please subscribe to the required addons to get this ship working. The controls are as follows:

Suit Zoom (Unbinded by default.) = Open/close the hatch door.

Space = Raise/lower landing gear and turn on/off the spotlights.

Shift = Ascend.


The weapons and ammunition for these vehicles:

Colonial Raptor = Unarmed.

Colonial Assault Raptor = 24 missiles & 2000 gatling gun rounds (2 fired at a time).
