Useful liege/vassal alliances

This mod allows you to call your allied vassals or liege to arms, just like you can with any other ally. Throughout medieval history many examples can be found for a liege and vassal going to war together, so disallowing it, does not make much sense in my eyes.

For gameplay reasons, it is however still disallowed for a liege to join a war against a direct vassal. A liege can however join a direct vassal in a war against a vassal of said vassal (rebellion).

Also note that this only works if the vassal and liege are allied. You cannot call eachother to arms/join eachothers war based on a simple liege-vassal relationship, except where it was already allowed in the base game.


- Should be compatible with nearly any other mod, except those that alter the alliance interactions.
- Works on already existing save games. However, it is advised to make a backup first, just in case.
- Achievements will be disabled.

Useful liege/vassal alliances (lite) only allows you to call on allied liege or vassals in a defensive wars. As such, in the lite version the changes made by the mod are less intrusive with respect to balance.

Better control over close family allows you to bring unlanded close family (parent, child, grandchild, sibling) that is not in your court to your court. No more AI marrying off your grandchild/future heir off to some nobody with crappy skills.
