描述
Interesting Histories adds short historical introductions to 44 nations at Imperator Rome’s start date. These include new visuals showing what life could have looked like for each featured nation on 1st October 304 BCE.

Featured nations: Athens, Arados, Armenia, Bactria, Boi, Bosporan Kingdom, Brigantia, Byblos, Byzantion, Caledonia, Empuries, Hemeroskopeion, Heraclea Pontica, Icenia, Judea, Knossos, Kush, Manapia, Massilia, Maurya, Menesthei, Mosylon, Pandya, Parthia, Phasis, Rhodes, Sidon, Sparta, Syracusae, Thebes, Umbria, and Veneto.

Grouped nations: Vistula Veneti Tribes (Galindia, Saloia, Sudinoia, and Venedia) and Scandinavian tribes (Aetelrugia, Burgundia, Dania, Grania, Guthonia, Leuonia, Raumaricia, and Suionia).

Events have not been added to popular nations that already have additional flavour, such as Rome or Carthage.


Compatibility:
  • Imperator Rome version 2.0 'Marius'.
  • Does not overwrite any vanilla files.
  • Only runs once at the start = No performance impact.
  • Already integrated into Invictus mod - don't use both.
  • Should work with most mods.
  • Not achievement compatible.
  • Localisation: English, Chinese, & partial German.


Recommended playthroughs:
  • Massilia - Wealthy Greek city located among the ‘Barbarian’ tribes of southern Gaul.
  • Icenia - Home of the warrior queen Boudicca. Conquer Britain before the Romans do.
  • Bosporan Kingdom - Black Sea Hellenic nation with Scythian tribes swarming the area.
  • Emporion - Can have female leaders/generals by default. Surrounded by Iberian tribes.
  • Mosylon - Red Sea Kemetic trading port. Expand to take on Arabic nations in the north.
  • Byblos - Take on the Antigonids to reconquer Phoenician lands. Difficult.
  • Pandya - Tamil nation in Southern India. Defeat the powerful Maurya Empire in the north.
  • Menesthei - Small isolated Greek colony on the coast of southern Hispania.
  • Veneto - Italic nation renowned for breeding fast alpine horses. Surrounded by tribes.
  • Phasis - Small Hellenic nation on the eastern Black Sea coast. Strong neighbours.
  • Kush - Pyramid building kingdom on the Nile Valley. Defend against mighty Egypt.
  • Knossos - Conquer the island of Crete and then expand throughout the Mediterranean.
  • Armenia - Strong Zoroastrian kingdom, must take on the large Seleucid Empire.
  • Bactria - Greek rulers of a large Bactrian native population. Subject of the Seleukids.

Thanks for posting these. I gave it a Thumbs Up. I like your Judea one. However, there is a factual mistake. In your history description announcement, it says that After Alexander's empire conquered Judea "a few decades ago", Judea has fallen under the "Seleucid Empire." But instead, it should say that Judea has fallen under Antigones' Empire.

In contrast, in history, when Alexander's Greek empire split up, Antigones' Greek Empire got control over Judea, then years later the Seleucids took over Judea, and the Judean Maccabees rebelled against Seleucid rule in the 2nd century BC. The game starts in 304 BC, when Antigones' kingdom still had control over Judea.

Wikipedia's article on the "Province of Judea" has a short good summary of this.

I had this balance tweaks mod which includes my changes and things people want changed in our discord and anyway I'm making this collaboration of multiple mods in one compatible collection called "I:R - Glorious Edition" it will be the modding comminty edition of Imperator Rome and if you don't mind I want to include Interestin Tresures and Histories in it. Of course all the credit goes to you at the top of the description page of the mod alongside nice bold titles that link to the original mods. Have a good day.
