yeah.. tga just makes static too, unfortunately

ah, see i tried png and they came out as static in game, I'll try tga next and see how that works.

thank you for responding, also great mod, the specials need some better icons than what they already have, like something from the comics maybe ; )

@Roidtron77 don't worry about the files being square, all textures in video games are that's totally fine, as for jpeg, yeah that file doesn't support transparency, you'll have to use either .png or .tga for that.

how did you make these? I've been trying to make my own infected icons, but they always come out square shaped in game, and it's because there's no way to export a jpeg in a circle or with transparency

Sorry I should have been more clear, I'm talking about the VPK directory, you'll need a program like GCFScape to open them, you'll want to use the program to open the VPK called pak01_dir and then use the program to navigate to the vgui/hud folder, that's where you'll find all of the source hud graphics.

where are the original infected icons? according to creator's comment it's in left4dead2/materials/vgui/hud but whenever I get in the vgui folder, there's no hud folder.

as much as i lovce this it covers thwe health bar so sadly i have to uninstal
