Don't give up on this! I still think it can be a good Scream Fortress candidate! Valve just doesn't like CTF because the rounds go on forever (which is ironically why everybody who plays loves CTF, but it makes for very bad contract maps that require a round end to turn them in) so you'd likely need to circumvent this issue with a map mechanic, maybe by making a map-side timer that opens up the sides of each intel room and makes some magic bridge between them when the timer reaches zero, then everybody just throws themselves at each other until someone wins.
Find a way to virtually guarantee a CTF round can end via objective if the round goes too long, and I'd gamble it'll be way more legitimately considered for Scream Fortress adoption.
Either way keep going. Hearth is so creative, and some really good work has been done on it.
