Ekranoplan

描述
Called the the Caspian Sea Monster by NATO and known as the Korabl Maket Корабль-макет in Russian; ekranoplan was an experimental ground effect vehicle developed in the Soviet Union in the 1960s by the Central Hydrofoil Design Bureau. The KM began operation in 1966, and was continuously tested by the Soviet Navy until 1980, when it was damaged in a testing accident and sank in the Caspian Sea. Your Republic has been able to obtain KM blueprints making a scaled down version the Ekranoplan available for your purchase or construction.

It has a top speed of 82 knots and can carry 70 passengers. Your pilots may need retraining maneuvering this ship.

Well.. Real ekranoplan uses so called ground effect . It actually flies at a height of less than 1 meter above sea (or ground). Is the game able to visualize this correctly? I don't think so.

And, secondly, ekranoplan is a class, not a single vehicle. There were dozens of different projects of ekranoplans in USSR, as well as there are in Russia. "Caspian Sea Monster" was just the biggest one (and more or less successful). So, phrase "second generation (1986) Ekranoplan" is just incorrect.

Cool mod thanks. At the end of the video (around 40:00) you can see one that exists. Looks as if they are using airbags to stabilize it. Maybe she is being going to be preserved.

Yes the second generation (1986) Ekranoplan could launch nukes. This is a model of the first generation from 1966.
