--------------------------- DESCRIPTION ----------------------------
The Dawnless Days: Total War is being created by a collective of motivated individuals that are willing to learn, are loyal to the mod's development and share a passion for Tolkien’s inspiring franchise with the final goal of creating a custom "Lord of the Rings" campaign, set in the immense world of Middle Earth. While it was more difficult than ever to take up this long quest, we are growing stronger with every release. Besides units, which are the hearts and souls of Total War, we are also actively designing custom battlefield and settlement maps (land and siege battles); Gondorian settlement development - using custom Gondorian architecture - has already made an exceptionally promising start, and we continue to produce Gondorian settlement maps to compliment the completed Gondorian faction. As well as the basic necessities of the Total War overhaul, we also plan to include custom creatures such as trolls, wargs and mûmakil - and all will have custom animations made by us.

Currently, due to the early stage of development, The Dawnless Days focuses on the multiplayer aspects of Total War; with a campaign being a work in progress, we look forward to offering you more. Although a campaign is very possible, we are unable to do it with the provided modding tools. A custom tool is being designed by a small team of individuals that will allow us to construct an accurate map of Middle Earth, and we hope to have a functional campaign very soon! In light of this, much of the team's time is dedicated to 3D design and level design.

------------------ INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS -------------------
The Dawnless Days must always be the first in the load order. Your game must also be in ENGLISH or else you will risk crashing during battles. Also, turn off your antivirus program if you use Norton, McAfee, Free Antivirus or Window Defender if you experience any crashes with The Dawnless Days.

Step 0: Preparation:
- You require an up-to-date version of Total War: Attila. We cannot guarantee the mod functions on a cracked version;
- All other versions of The Dawnless Days must be removed to avoid any confusion or difficulties;

Step 1: Downloading:
- Download the file from NexusMods. Do not use the internet on your computer whilst downloading it. Start downloading, and wait;

Step 2: Installing:
- Once downloaded, extract the .rar file and the picture with your unpacking program (WinRar, 7z, etc.) to 'Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War Attila\data'.

To find the game's exact location quickly (since it may not be in the above location for some), right click Total War: ATTILA in your Steam Library and click Manage. Click on 'Browse local files' and you'll be taken straight to the game's folder.

Step 3: Launching to Play:
- Open Attila. Press the “Mod Manager” button - you will find the mod there. Tick the box in the top left-hand corner;
- Press play!

hi i have the game i have the mod but when i try to play the mod with the mods as a check i just crashes my game help plz

This mod is gorgeous. Awesome work! Only question I have is there a good mod for adding maps? I thought I saw some for places like Helm's Deep, but not finding them now.

I have this computer: GPU: RTX 2060, significantly more powerful than the game requires, CPU: Ryzen 5 4600H and RAM 16 GB. But this mod still doesn't work properly. Why am I having performance issues? The game doesn't run smoothly. Thank you for your help.

@CriticalM@ass thx for the answer. Just amazed to see that it is still not fixed since every other TW has it... And also amazed someone would bother to make mods on such a broken foundation :/. I like the mod, but this absolute core feature missing is just killing it for me

@Auriman There is no guard mode for Attila, CA did their classic move of regressing features. There is however a mod for it but not sure if it works for this mod and it's always been a bit iffy

There is no defend mode for units in this mod? For example archers if ordered to fire enemy units keep following them to ends of the earth with one fire order. Can this be fixed? Really annoying
