描述

This mod adds smaller compact versions of crossbows. These bows can fit in the Weapon 2 slot. Because these crossbows are smaller they will have less range and less power.

This mod will follow the adventures of my character and his crimper companion. I will be update each time he creates his next model.

Current Hand Crossbows:
Dacious Junkbow
Dacious Toothpick
Dacious Ranger
Dacious Spring Bat
Dacious Oldworld Bow MkI

The problem seems to be that the game is hardcoded to use weapon slot 1 first unless the AI is incapable or is que'd up for using slot 2. Meaning that if you wanna use these as intended, in slot 2, then you have to set your characters to "Hold" so they cant charge into melee and will default to shooting. These cannot be used normally and require micro and make picking specific targets impossible

for anyone who thinks this doesnt work.. using small crossbows is wonky. they need to be placed in specific slot for your units to use it in ranged and switch to melee when needed.

You need to put them in the second line of weapon slot 1 in 4th ( kinda middle) area.

basicly:

xxxxxxxxxx
xxx---xxxxx

the --- is the crossbow position. My units started using them correctly when i placed them this way.

unless only the handcrossbow is equip, my guys still charge into melee

For anybody wondering if the mod is broken, you can fix it by editing it in FCS (very easy to do) and edit the following parameters of every Dacious bow:

Inventory width: 7

Essentially making it take up more room in in your inventory.

You then need to ensure it is equipped at the top left of the weapon 1 slot.
