UPDATE 8/29/2016: Ok,I meant to make this announcement a LONG while ago,but PewDiePie actually used this in one of his Left 4 Dead 2 vids! My sister showed the video to me, and at first I didn't even believe her,but sure enough it's the same addon!

For this reason, even though i'm getting rid of most of my old addons for all games, not just L4D2, which I hope to replace with higher quality content with my new experience, I'm keeping this one up on the workshop for good. Getting an item used in ANY Youtube video is a big deal for a modder, but someone as huge as Pewdiepie!? This is beyond my wildest dreams! If Pewdiepie is somehow reading this, thanks a ton for using my addon,I loved the video BTW.


Description:

A simple reskin for the Spitter that I made WAAAAAAAAAAY back when I first got L4D2 to test my modding skill in the new game, along with a series of Primal Carnage skins that are no longer available.

The colors are inspired not by the new purple-brown scheme for PC:E, but the classic bright colors of the Dilophosaurus seen in the original Primal Carnage game. Honestly I cannot express how happy I was when they made the old skin available again in PC:E.

The goal here was NOT to make the Spitter into a Dilophosaurus,but instead to make a sort of "mutation" on top of the pre-existing spitter model, as if this is the next stage of the Spitter's mutation beyond it's usual zombie-like appearance.

I think the bright yellow stripe pattern on top of it's blue skin fits perfectly with it's green-ish acid spit, almost like some sort of kaiju that you'd expect to see fighting Godzilla.

To complete the look I gave it a different hair color and a new outfit. The hair was based off a theory that Triceratops could send blood to it's frill during territory fights with rivals to give off a "glow" and appear more intimidating, and that Dilophosaurus' crests may have had the same function, so why not have a similar ability on a special infected? Yeah,I really did go a bit crazy on this one.....

i also thought that it was gonna be a dinosaur, would have loved to just shoot the hell out of patrick, squidward, troll with billy mays sounds, shrek and a frking DINOSAUR XD

I DO need to change the thumbnail,so sorry about the confusion there,but this is actually a mod that gives the Spitter the Dilophosaurus' textures,almost like a "mutation" on the normal spitter model.

Like I said in the comment before this one,the only reason I even kept this up

(this was made YEARS ago,when I first got steam,so i'm far better at modding now)

was because PewDiePie used it and I felt like the addon was kind of "special" after that. I know it's weird.

This mod is pure,uncensored nightmares,and the horrific images permanently burned into your brain after seeing it are it's Pawn Shop. It works here with your vomit,and it's son,complete confusion. Everything in here has an extremely messed up story,and looking at it even for a second comes with a price,which is usually your sanity. One thing i've learned after 21 years,back when I first started L4D2 modding you never knew WHAT was gonna come out of my brain.

Seriously though the only reason I kept this on the workshop was because PewDiePie used it in a video so it got famous-ish I guess? I used to have a whole series of these things,but I took them down because this was the best out of all of them,which says a lot,and I needed the workshop space.

it wasn't sarcasm. I honestly coulda found plenty of tutorials on the internet (at least i can now) but for some reason i just kinda though "reskins".
