Mimic Beacon Is Consumed WOTC

描述
Made by request, this makes the Mimic Beacon consume itself when you use it.

It's the same mechanism of action as the Overdrive Serum so it was easy to code.

It should even work with LWOTC.

The original manufacture cost is not changed here, you decided whether it's expensive as is or not.

You can use https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1177150989 to change the Mimic Beacon manufacture costs. The mod is marked incompatible with WOTC, but it's not. It works without issue.

Note that if you increased the charges of the beacon above 1 use with modding, using it once will consume it anyway.

I could see that being fun. Realistic War had a good idea, just bad execution, to have all grenades be expended on use (you know, because they explode,) but grant, like, 4 each time you do the project.

Battle Scanners and Mimic Beacon can be expendable, but I think it's better if they can be recovered. They don't explode, afterall. But of you don't recover it, it's gone.

I'm actually running a mod that makes the overdrive stim NON-consumable, because that item just isn't useful enough to justify its recurring cost. But the mimic beacon is a different story altogether. I mean, it's so incredibly useful in so many different situations -- it's basically a "get out of jail free" card.

The fact that I'd actually buy the mimic beacon anyway, even as a consumable item, is proof that it probably *should* be a consumable item.

I'm always torn on this concept. I would love to see a (functioning) mod that makes most of these types of items consumable on use. Mimic Beacon , Battle Scanner, even the grenades. But it's so hard, then, to balance the economy because you have to keep buying them and getting it to work withods becomes an issue.

Such a fickle thing, the need for realism. LoL.
