Vanilla | Survival | No Subgrids | No Scripts | DLC


A simple and cheap patrol boat specialized in fighter defense.


The LX-40 is powered by hydrogen and can be built with only a basic refinery and basic assembler (except for ammo and optional batteries). It serves the role of a patroling ship, defending bases and stuff against those pesky pirate drones. Since it's so cheap it won't hurt loosing one or two.

The ship has no subgrids, needs no scripts and the only DLC block is the cockpit,
which you can just switch out for the vanilla cockpit.
It can fly on all planets and needs about 6% hydrogen to get to space from earth.

This is a tough little ship! I'm using one in a co-operative PVE server against Reavers and mine took a railgun shot up the keel in two separate engagements without flinching. Very nice! Thank you!

Combatbird - there aren't any, it uses a cockpit with no interior. Cool little ship.
