Harry Potter 2 PC Game Remake Demo

描述
This is a remake of the first level from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on the PC.


This mod includes:
-one intro and a level
-coop
-very cringy dialogue


Some bugs I couldn't fix:

-Both Harry and Coop Harry appear in Player Swap mods. Nothing I could do about it.
-Particles don't get updated off-screen.


Other bugs:

-Sometimes when you return back to HUB, you remain as Harry Potter (reported by tciecka). Problem gets fixed if you unsubscribe or if you swap back to Hat Kid with a Player Swap mod.
-Online Party players lack their wands.


(I'm working on a full remake, but I definitely won't be able to finish it by the end of 2022. Due to irl things, I can't give a concrete release date for this. Rest assured that I am still working on it, and it'll be out when it's done.)


(there's also a cutscene missing, replaced by a "later.". Didn't make it because it would've taken a lot of time to make it and it's not needed for the progression of the story(for now))

@Linkolchu, As I mentioned in the description, the full version is not ready yet, and probably won't be in a long while (if ever).

The original game isn't officially sold anymore, but there is an unofficial update to the game's engine by Metallicafan212 that improves it for modern systems. I can't tell you exactly where to find it for legal reasons, but it's out there if you want something more faithful to the original game. :P

@klaudia667 I appreciate the entusiasm (heck, I kinda still share it), but I'm just not sure if that's feasible anymore. It's hard to find time to work on this thing anymore with the amount of stuff I have irl + with other projects. So I don't think a full version will come out anytime soon - let alone any other games in the series. Sorry if that disappoints you.

@Burgers_And_Beer Have fun with that! There's been a lot of effort into making the game playable and more accessible by the game's modding community if you wanna check that out.

I'm not sure how people are still finding this mod nowadays, but I'm glad you enjoyed it!

HOW DID YOU DO THIS. THIS IS SERIOUSLY INSANE!!!!

THIS IS THE COOLEST THING HARRY POTTER MOD RELATED I HAVE EVER SEEN.

MAN I WISH THE ENTIRE THING WAS THERE.

(This was one of my favorite child hood games ever. this is legit the best thing to a harry potter remaster i have seen. when the demo finished i so hoped for a new update!)
