This (or the RescueeJoinsPlus) mod causes an error in the log when HugsLib is not installed:

Type HugsLib.UpdateFeatureDef is not a Def type or could not be found, in file UpdateFeatures.xml. Context: <HugsLib.UpdateFeatureDef ParentName="TIJoinsPlus"><defName>v1</defName><assemblyVersion>1.0.0</assemblyVersion><content>Provide the ability to accept or deny people joining the colony, instead of having them forced upon you!</content></HugsLib.UpdateFeatureDef>

Yep, still not working and I've had some real "winners" join as of late. Unfortunately, it seems like the "confirm" to kick them from the colony no longer works as well after they join. I don't know if these are separate issues or not, but I uninstalled the mod just to be safe.

Stopped working for me as well. Miss it already.

Coming here to corroborate that this has stopped working in 1.6 The other join mod by the same person is working still however.

Whenever I get a potential recruit and I accept them into the colony, I get an error and nothing occurs afterwards.

Working properly yesterday, but it is not working today.

I don't know if something changed with the recent rimworld fixes, but it is not working for me in 1.6

I tested it without any other mods, even tried without the Odyssey dlc, still can't make it work.
