After a run in the WWF as Papa Shango, Charles Wright left the company to wrestle for the USWA under the Shango gimmick. When he returned to the WWF in 1994, he dropped the voodoo gimmick and became Kama, the Supreme Fighting Machine.

The shoot-fighting Kama quickly joined the Million Dollar Corporation and feuded with The Undertaker. He notably stole The Udnertaker's urn and had it melted down into a necklace, which he lost back to the Phenom several months later.

Kama left the WWF with a verbal agreement to join WCW and become an enforcer for the nWo before the deal fell apart. He later resurfaced in the WWF as Kama Mustafa, a member of the Nation of Domination, and eventually found major success as The Godfather.
