I don't understand the dumb "The 5" or "The 7" meme going on here in the Workshop, but I figured I'd toss my own sillyness into the mix.

Introducing- *drumroll*

The Five Miners!

*confetti flies from the skies, drowning all to death*

This adds a new craftable weapon, The Pickaxe, along with a new start and a new playable race.

This mod is.. Is a thing, not much more to say about it.

Personally I go with four miners, two woodcutters/carpenters, and a dedicated soldier.

The Seven and Strike the Earth are Dwarf Fortress, where you get 7 dwarves at game start in Fortress mode. The phrase "Strike the Earth" is the last line of the dialog before starting a new fortress. So it really should be seven people, although in many games players might only make 5 into miners.

If you look into the recent mods, there's at least like seven+ different "the five" "the seven" mods the past week.

The 5, is just a remake of a certain start... and the seven is from a number of swordsman wielding special swords from naruto...
