[REC] Nebula class frigate

The Enterprise class multirole frigate is a legendary ship. A symbol of REC determination, resolve and efficiency. However, ever since these ships were used in the first war with LKF the enterprise's age and unwanted flaws have begun to show over time. With this in mind, the REC started a program to make more frigates that specialize in roles that the Enterprise class used to do. This started with the Vanguard but had to be put on hold as war with LKF and TFK was declared and the Procyon was (re)discovered. The program sped up a bit after that and the Hammerhead class light frigate was commissioned to fill in the role for escort and scout. And now, the final piece of this puzzle has been filled in by the Nebula class frigate. The Nebula is designed to screen fighters, but also be able to attack enemy large grid ships should the fleet or convoy they are escorting come under attack. With the first Nebula frigates coming online, the Enterprise class mutlirole frigates are either being phased out or are being converted to exploration, medical or training ships for REC. Very few remain in active service.
