VANGUARD - Fully Vanilla Command Battleship.
MOD 2C Refit, Felt this was worth a new release as it's changed fairly substantially.

- Replaced 2x of the VLS Tubes with mount for another Heavy Cannon
- Replaced Air-Weapons Handing with aft Heavy Cannon
- Replaced Fwd Turret with "slimline" version
- Added 5x CIWS "Shredder" turrets, slaved to GFCS
- Added "greebling" steam pistons in engine room to simulate working boiler
- Minor housekeeping

- 3D Printing setups for MAC and Torps/VLS
- Torps & VLS Pack auto-grouped to fire from the same buttons each reload

OPERABILITY:
- Bring ship to a full stop to fire guided munitions (this is to stop them detonating in the tubes)
- The large cannon is fully conveyored and can be replaced if desired
- LIDAR array at the top of the mast is not required, can be removed & a FWD array used instead (NOT INSTALLED)
(LIDAR system is complex on this ship, LCD's included in CIC with instructions)
- Vanguard is configured as a command ship for RADV's Fleet Command Script; includes one alert drone amidships.

- ANY of the cockpit seats in the Gunnery Bridge can be used to fire the MAC and see the "HUD", simply assign the timers as you see fit
(Timers: "MAC - FIRE" & "MAC - RELOAD")

SURVIVAL READY - Printing of sub-grids will not carry over, however the ship is fully functional & ready for survival use.

My longest ongoing project, Vanguard was inspired by HMS Vanguard (23) - Older versions of the ship were heavily inspired by Vanguard's hull form & general shape, as the ship has changed with each refit the overall shape has been slowly lost, however the shaped hull still remains under the armour.

This version of the ship (MOD2.C) is an updated version of the command vessel configuration, she's slightly longer than previous models and has an additional "flying-off" deck fitted amidships for the docking of a scout drone. the central console in the CIC is also set up as the fleet command station & can issue orders via the RADV user interface.

Vanguard is a very heavy ship, with some serious armour around key components - multiple redundant bridges mean that even under heavy damage in combat, the ship can still be commanded with reasonable efficiency.

As with "Tiger" (Her escort cruiser) the handling is relatively decent for a ship of this size, she was never designed for mobility and can easily be outmaneuvered by smaller, more agile vessels; in an attempt to counter this flaw the ships torpedo launcher system makes use of a LIDAR Director positioned on top of the mast - this means the entire ship doesnt then need to be aimed at the intended target.
