Nice to see you're discovering the subtle triggers along the way ;) I'm aware of that airstrip bug where you build the unit but nothing happens, it just gets stuck on 'Ready'.. it's a well known and documented glitch/bug that's been addressed in the other missions, with seemingly no patch. There are alternatives around it, but i'd still love to find the fix for it..
Thanks again for the great comment! I hope you thoroughly enjoy the campaign, I put a lotta hours and passion into it
Now we have ginormous monitors compared to back then with much higher resolutions and game speeds that outpaced the machine I used.
As far as this mission, and I've played a few of your other ones, is that playing slow would definitely be recommended.
I was able to beat this without taking a ton of casualties but it was a bear to get things going and hold out till those Airstrikes were ready. Saving as much of your starting forces as possible as well as heavy use of Orca's were the key to my success.
The NOD Gunboat is a bit much but ultimately doable, as well as the NOD forces attacking your base before you can even get to it. That being said. I was able to save most of the base after a second full restart attempt. The first attempt getting to the base almost everything was destroyed. So you cannot dilly dally around. Two things. I think maybe the NOD bases should be under separate houses. You throw a ton of effort to take down the Construction Yard just to have it pop back up in place is really disheartening. 1/2
