History

Expresso Brasileiro is a Brazilian road passenger transport company founded in the city of São Paulo in 1941 by the Spanish immigrant Manoel Diegues.

Originally created to make the São Paulo / Santos connection, Expresso Brasileiro gradually extended its itineraries to other regions (especially in the State of Rio de Janeiro). Today the company serves the cities of Santo André, São Bernardo do Campo, São Caetano do Sul, Osasco, Rio de Janeiro, Duque de Caxias and Nova Iguaçu in addition to São Paulo.

When it was founded by Manoel Diegues, it went through financial difficulties and had to sell the company to the Romano Family in the 60s. In 2011 it was acquired by the Santa Cruz Group, however it was sold again to the Grupo Águia Branca group in the year 2017. Read more [pt.wikipedia.org]
