描述
The most advanced device for visual navigation.

SUPER IMPORTANT
The infamous white screen bug was finally fixed, it was a matter of reloading the custom UI attached to it in the right timeframe.
There's something that's going to happen from now on but you shouldn't worry about it:
When you're in the process of loading into the server, you're gonna notice that mid loading you go back to the initial menu screen for roughly 2 seconds, then back to the loading screen. Don't worry, that's part of the fix and it won't affect your connection to the server or anything else.
It comes with an extra benefit: You're not gonna experience the VOIP UI flickering bug when you finally load into the server nor the weird looking inventory UI bug that happens at times.

IMPORTANT
This mod needs mFramework in order to work. Add the mod Id '1942750114' before the Amalgarmin mod id to make sure the scripts are loaded properly.

This Amalgarmin mod is a feature to have a GPS like device that can show your position in real time.

Features
  • A 100% custom made model of a GPS.
  • Custom UI for the navigational map.
  • The UI is inserted inside of the screen of the device, just like the Survivortron, it also inherits the same animations from this item.
  • You have three modes of map visualization, a full map mode, a medium zoomed in mode and a full zoomed in mode, the latest two modes also display your position and rotation in raw numbers.
  • The Amalgarmin should spawn in the same places you would find a Survivortron.

To use this device, put it in your hands, click on your mouse to turn it on and off, and press the End key to change visualization modes.

Known issues
  • You may get a white screen with no ways of interaction, this is likely to be happening with a conflict by other mods, make sure all the scripts using RegisterCallback or RegisterCallbackReturnAware function are properly defined, dm me on Discord for further details.

How to use this mod:

To enable this mod on your server add '1942750114' then '2154545556' to your steam_ugc in the hosting.cfg like:

steam_ugc=1942750114,2154545556

If you are running multiple mods make sure to add a comma after each modID. Example:

steam_ugc=workshopid1,1942750114,2154545556,workshopid4

How to use this mod WITH CUSTOM MAPS:

In order to get this mod to work in your map mod, you need to do the following:
  • A minimap image of your map, it has to be 1500x1500 px and .jpg format. That minimap has to be the most accurate representation of your map to get the most accurate position in the Amalgarmin.
  • The file has to be called just the same as your map (including special characters, upper and lower case letters, etc), basically a copy and paste of the name you use in your server config to load the map in your server.
  • The file has to be located in GameSDK/Libs/UI/SCAAMAmalgarmin so create these folders accordingly for you final .pak file
  • Just a heads up: if your level is so to speak 4096x4096 in size and you just use a portion of it, like 3x3km, you still have to include that empty area in your minimap or the device won't give the exact location, It'll be waaaay off.

Is it a custom map?

Are you aware of any mods that conflict with this one? I've spun up my own server and have steam_ugc=1942750114,2154545556 as the first 2 entries. The device spawns in game, but when I go to activate the device, no map is shown. Am I missing a step?

The .pak file is the format of the file you submit to steam as a workshop mod. Like I say there, that mod of yours should include your .jpg file in that folder path.

Exactly the same name you add to your config file to load a map is the one that you're gonna use as your .jpg file name.
I assume you haven't set up different maps in your server before or you would know this

@Cuartas sorry im really late to the party, is there a host.cfg line to get the player to start with the amalgarmin? further down the comments someone meantioned g_gameRules_faction5_equip=SCAAMAmalgarmin

officially no, as this was made with islands and canyonlands in mind.
But as you can see in the mod's description there's instructions to make it work with custom maps

Sorry for the late response.
Have in mind mFramework is not an accessory mod, IT'S ABSOLUTELY NEEDED for Amalgarmin to work.
Now with that out of the way, I would start discarding variables, start a test server with just mFramework and Amalgarmin and then start adding up your own mods till you find which one is conflicting with mine
