This ship is modded and survival ready, with DLC blocks. All mods are listed on the right side of the page. While this contains DLC blocks for aesthetic improvements, these blocks aren't structurally necessary and the ship will function correctly without them. If you do encounter a major issue, please, let me know so I can resolve it.

Knightmare Industries presents the Martian Monoceros Class Patrol Destroyer. Designed as a supplement to the Morrigan Class Patrol Destroyers already in service, the Monoceros offers an increase in firepower and endurance over the Morrigan, but a reduction in acceleration and maximum jump range. Dubbed "the little unicorn(s)" by their crews, the Monoceros is relatively lightly armed and unsurprisingly cramped with only 4 decks. While the ship carries a Jump Drive and Survival Kit, the class is intended to fulfill local or escort missions with other ships. The class is named for the constellation Monoceros, which is Greek for unicorn.

The Monoceros uses Ion thrusters for propulsion, with 2 Large and 2 Small thrusters facing forward, and 6 small in all other directions. The Jump Drive has a maximum range of 2,000 KM. The ship is protected by 4 PDC Turrets, 3 Interior Turrets, 2 M-8 Destroyer Launchers, and 2 M-1 Torpedo Launchers. Power is supplied by 13 Small Reactors and a Battery backup system. The ship's hull is entirely light armor, favoring acceleration over protection. There is a single O2/H2 Generator on board and a Survival Kit.

The ship is built fully vanilla and survival ready, with an interior in the style of "The Expanse." I use a light changing script to switch around the interior light settings. Its an older script and I couldn't find the original creator. The script was updated by ColTeH for my use. I used some of Whiplash141's scripts on the ship, including their braking script for "flip and burn" situations, and a few of their mods for taking the screenshots. The mods I used to assist with the screenshots came recommended by Taidyr, who makes some fantastic content as well. I used Darth Biomech's Milky Way Skybox mod as well. Links below. So I'm trying something new. I've long had multiple ideas of what to do with ships and have been torn between color schemes, mods and dlc. As much as I want to give a variety of versions of the ships I create in all the many colors, shapes and sizes, so to speak, I strongly dislike the idea of basically spam uploading a bunch of copy/pastes. This upload should help resolve that a little, in that I can upload a proper MCRN version of the ship with several mods I feel fit The Expanse style very well, while not feeling like a copy/paste of the KMI Monoceros. I know many players like the MCRN color scheme, and so do I. While non-canon, I feel this adds some more variety to the expanse ships available to players. I hope you enjoy it.
