I found that the spell research only works for spells in my universal bag.
Took me a while to figure out.
Should you have issues researching spells while also using mods that add inventory slots, fiddle around with the spells position in the inventory.
For anyone unaware, the wand research feature isn't as I first thought, you don't get a specific copy of that wand, instead it adds to the stats you can use while creating a custom wand. Cost is based on the difference between what you have and what you are researching. Due to this, I recommend trying to research everything you can, and feel free to settle with a lower priced wand - it will reduce the prices of other wands in the future, and you won't lose anything by doing so. This also allows copying always-cast abilities, so be sure to try to research those wands if you like their spells.
The only thing I can complain about is the settings being via config file rather than an option in the menu.
Like for example, having the research and buying GUI show up using that meditation mechanic?
