South Atlantic War: Hostilities! 1-2 May 1982 - UK side

On 27 April the entire Argentine Fleet sortied from its bases to strike against the British Task Force, which thanks to effective reconassaince by Argentine Navy and converted civilian Boeing 707's, was known to be approaching the Maritime Exclusion Zone.

By 1 May, hostilties had commenced with the Vulcan raid on Stanley airport. The UK Task Force needed to conduct preliminarly SEAD, reconnaisance and diversionary operations. Both fleets sought to find and sink the others' carriers, using all of the assets at their disposal, although with diplomatic efforts limping on, the British had, at first, to contend with limiting rules-of-engagement.

The scenario is playable from the UK side only (seperate scenario for the Argentine side in production) and covers 2 days of air, surface and submarine operations. It also incorporates the option to play the Black Buck 1 scenario - see that scenario for briefing details.

I have tried to make the scenario as realistic as possible, with a few non-historical twists. Some key events are randomised, so the the game should play different each time.
