@Alapma I also had problems with keeping up cleaning all dirt and mess my animals make in my base corridors, rooms, workshop and fridge. So i just set up a barn for them (all around my house so they can roam around .. just left out everyspace of my interior except small path from very close by door to fridge so they can feed themself (the trained pets only) the rest is in pen with small cottage which contains hay for them to eat (^-^)b .. though i am looking right now for mod with decreased amount of hunger for animals, cause i dont want to kill all my muffalos to keep my hay count above 1k ... (cause have mood for kijjins which includes nice hay tatami flooring (beauty buff of +1 per tile (^-^) <3 also looks good just so much hay on it .. over 3k already fell on my base with just little over 8 people .. my tamer loves animals so having tough time managing his taming carrier of lv 16+ taming, thank god for auto-slaughter

@Alapma you can search the workshop their other mod that do what you want, Animal Food Restriction or Pawn Rule should work, I don't really like direct restriction on animal but you can use them.
But in vanilla, you can restrict your animal area outside the place where you stock your meal.

cause i can see u know how to make so animals eat or not, any idea of a mod that lets you set rules for what does your animals own eat? im sick of my 20 rats eating lavish meals instead of their rice and i dont want to 1°kill them or 2° make a a room that will only accept rice and allow my rats there insted of my fridge complex

Yeah I just make this mod after that chinchilla (and another trader animal) eat my packaged meals that forbidden.

Wait a min,they do?I never see trader animal food need drops.(Maybe they drops,but i think before they hungry and try to steal your food like trader they left already)
