This is a port of the 1.0 Original Mod Support Beams By Vectricity [ludeon.com]

What Does This Mod Do?
- Adds Support Beams That Act as Walls
- You Can Pass Through Them Unlike Walls
- Multiple Material Types For Beams

What This Mod Doesn't Do
-Allows Buildables Under Beams

A support beam. Functions like a wall — doesn't get in your way. Made with metal, wood, or stone.

-Minor change to allow support beams to be placed on walls to automatically designate their replacement.
Version 1.1
-Fixed issue with support beams not serving their one purpose in life (supporting a roof).
-Fixed issue with support beams not recognizing proper roof construction protocol.

-Initial release.

Is this safe to use with 1.3 or does it need updating?

When activating this I get a critical error that locks the entire game. It throws something about screenshot button releases into the error log. All menus become inaccessible and you can't even click anything in the main menu.

any way to make plants grow on them? I was going to sue them to hold up my indoor farm, but they make large paths of it where no plants grow.

Should be able to

so with these u can make large rooms and prevent roof collapse - eg 15x15 and roof support - no issues?
