Model History
The EL-2B was dual unit electric capable of 6800HP in tractive effort, weighing in at a massive 1 million pounds and over 15' tall before the panto's. 4 were made for Virginian Railways in their electrified division through the Virginian mountains to haul coal.

They ran from 1948-1959 when its competitor, Norfolk and Western, bought the company and started to end the electrification. Unfortunately, none of these were saved from scrap and none exist today.

Model Details
  • Available 1948-1959
  • N&W Skin 1959-1982
  • TE @ 6894HP
  • VGN = 50mph, N&W = 65mph
  • Whistles at Stations feature
  • 4k textures
  • Model Citizen Knucklepro Couplers
  • Crew only in front cab
  • A200 Horn by MrCheesecake
  • Bell at low speeds
  • Rear unit does not have lit lights
  • Weight of course is 1,000,000 lbs.
  • Multi-unit only

Notes
  • Due to catenary being low in game, I designed it to reach the same height as the vanilla GG1. In real life the catenary for Virginian was around 25-35ft tall.

Update 1.5
  • New lights!
  • N&W Skin, 1959-1982
  • More realistic turning
  • Now with 3 LODs
  • Moved cabin closer to windshield so no gap between cabin and body
  • Rear units no longer have an emissive light

Update 1.9
  • Updated Headlight Textures
  • Recolorable Unit Set
  • More Roadnumbers, Under a group menu
  • As promised, Asset Versions!
  • Lit numberboards
  • Various small fixes
  • Now has dirt maps!

Future Plans
  • Fix gap between body and bogies
  • Fixed sounds, no bell or horn from secondary unit
  • For TpF3: Redo the nose and windows and more detailed trucks.

yeah you're more than welcome to. my life as of late is very busy so doing something like that would take me a million years. i had to hand off repaints of the streamliners to others. but i can definitely hand off the photoshop files, request me on here or shoot me a message on discord, the link for the NA server is on my later mods.

You think you could make one with the Great Northern W-1 paint scheme? If not, I'd love to try my hand at painting it if there would be a way to do that, I am not too familiar with transport fever modding, I mainly mod in the Parkitect scene.

Someone else actually is working on them i believe, or the p motors.
Xilla24 2020 年 10 月 2 日 上午 6:10
Thanks so much man! Are you thinking about T motor models?
themeatballhero  [作者] 2020 年 9 月 29 日 下午 8:47
I used blender and exported it via fbx. I do use the model editor a good deal. For skins and baking i used substance painter and Photoshop.

The nose wasnt the easiest but it wasn't like the f7. The f7 nose is stupid hard, and i still didn't get that right, someone pointed out the roof needs to be on more of a curve.

If you're thinking of doing a p motor you'll need schematics for the bogies, that thing has so much detail underneath
