Thanez's hands ported to the retail Black Mesa weapons and animations.

I initially started on this in March using hand models taken from the Black Mesa Animation Revamp[gamebanana.com] pack, but that ultimately didn't work out because the hands in that pack are reshaped on a case-by-case basis. Later on, in April, I downloaded Thanez's original source files[skins.thanez.net] and started working on it again with those as the basis.

But then I got lazy. At the time, I was only working on it for me, and I wasn't really in a rush, so I took my sweet time, working on it bit by bit. SUDDENLY, a wild General Cornwaffle appeared with a request[gamebanana.com] for exactly what I had been working on previously! Quote the security guard, "Put some pep in that step!," and so I got back to work on it.

Things were pretty much smooth sailing until working on the inspect animation, which uses a unique skeleton and isn't any sort of flat, easily manipulated pose, so it was a bit of a pain. While I was working on that, a similar project released! Egad, was everything for naught!? Fret not, for it is different! Specifically, it includes unique animations and some unique models, which doesn't fulfill the request. Additionally, the other pack uses Kiyoshi's rig[gamebanana.com] as a basis, so the hand positions and shaders are different as well.

At first, I was a bit dumb, and paused work again, thinking there was no more reason to hurry, but General Cornwaffle contacted me and pointed out that it wasn't was the request asked for, so I got back to work.

So now here it is! Done!
