KCS EMC E3 Flying Crow 1940s

Kansas City Southern Lines was founded in 1887 in Kansas City, Missouri. KCS were early adopters of diesel power and the Southern Belle was their flagship train from Kansas City to New Orleans. This locomotive is the Electro-Motive Corperation (EMC) E3 in the Kansas City Southern "Flying Crow" mid 1940s scheme.

The Flying Crow was a passenger train between Kansas City, Missouri and Port Arthur, Texas. This passenger train was the first KCS passenger train to use diesel locomotives and had several paint schemes over its lifetime. This is based off the mid 1940s paint scheme
